Kimberly Singletary. CEO & Creative Director
Kimberly is the brainchild behind Conceptual Geniuses, having founded the firm in 1993. Graphic design has been her life’s passion for over 24 years, when she started as a freelancer. A 1989 graduate of Seton Hall University, she earned a Bachelor’s of Art degree in communications with a concentration in advertising art. Kimberly initially began as an independent contractor for the Department of Labor and Edelman PR Worldwide. She has worked with national organizations, providing conceptual design input on several major projects. With Conceptual Geniuses celebrating its 20th anniversary, Kimberly has the proven expertise and creative liberty to seamlessly integrate her graphic design skills across multiple platforms.
Jane Hahn. Art Director
Jane is a seasoned illustrator, graphic designer, and Web designer who joined the Conceptual Geniuses staff in 2003. She is the driving force behind our work, providing oversight for project management and print production. She also serves as the primary contact for many of CGs’ clients. Her background includes project work with TV One Entertainment Television, the United Negro College Fund, National Black Caucus of State Legislators, CommonHealth Action, the National Association of County & City Health Officials, and Montgomery County Department Health & Human Services, to name a few. She is a graduate of University of Maryland.
Brianna Downing. Director of Marketing & Business Development
Brianna has 16 years of experience in integrated marketing communications, primarily in the nonprofit sector, but also in the education and sports entertainment sectors. Her expertise includes include marketing strategy, message development, branding, project management, social media, development/fundraising, internal communications, business development, corporate communications, grant writing and public relations. She has experience promoting a variety of public health initiatives including behavioral health, youth development, chronic disease management/prevention, tobacco control, obesity prevention, nutrition, HIV/AIDS, public health research and social services. Brianna holds a B.S. in Public Relations from Syracuse University and an M.Ed. in Sports Management from Temple University.
Dionna Marie Dorsey. Senior Print Designer & Brand Strategist
Dionna is a passionate and enthusiastic designer with over seven years’ experience creating, developing, and managing effective creative packages for brands and events. Her graphics have been applied to various national marketing concepts, political campaigns and professional sales presentations. She provides innovative and creative design and project management for clients, which includes conceptualizing, nurturing and managing marketing packages that characterize and ensure brand strategy objectives are met. She is a graduate of Villanova University and Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Italy.
Mtheto Chisala. Web Designer & Advanced Programmer
Mtheto has worked for Conceptual Geniuses since 2010. His expertise is standards based web programming, in which he has seven years of experience. He has programmed an assortment of web-based client projects, including 508 compliant websites as well as content management systems. Some of his notable projects include the current website and conference website for National Black Caucus of Legislators, as well as the African American Health Program for Montgomery County, Maryland. Mtheto’s multifaceted experience includes utilizing industry standard design programs, such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. He is adamant about staying abreast of industry trends through research that ensures clients’ work will be on the front end of future design standards and direction. He is graduate of Bowie State University.
Kellen H. Leech. Marketing Strategist & Media Integration Manager
Kellen brings more than half a decade of military and Department of Defense strategic communications experience to our team. With a Bachelors of Arts degree in Journalism from Stillman College, he adds print, broadcast and electronic writing and editing skills to our brand marketing team. He merges critical crisis management and strategic communications with new age mass media and web presence development skills, ensuring CG clients have the best of all worlds. A Defense Information School trained and certified photo/videographer, Kellen also serves as our resident photographer who captures the spirit of the client’s brand and mission with every photo. His most recent duties include media embedded coordination, strategic communications and analysis, and working as the senior editor and director of social media with the United States Forces-Iraq at the American Embassy, Baghdad.
RK Jackson. Graphic Designer, Brand Manager & Photographer
RK is a highly esteemed self-taught graphic designer, marketer, brand manager, and noted photographer from whose experience Conceptual Geniuses clients will benefit greatly. Within the short span of five years, he has developed a wealth of business and design experience for large nonprofits and Fortune 500 companies such as Red Bull North America, as well as a freelance clientele. RK has had the distinct honor of having his works featured nationwide in print publications, on television, and a number of international blogs and websites. Possessing a keen brand management focus, RK prides himself on three tiers of service: understanding the vision of the project, ensuring the quality of the product, and executing the purpose.
Jason James. Client Relations & Project Management
Jason, who joined the Conceptual Geniuses in 2012, brings more than 15 years of business and contract management experience to the team. He is responsible for providing overall project management to all departments at CG. In addition, Jason serves as our client relations manager, overseeing the business relationship with our clients. He has degree in Elementary Education from Benedict College and is currently completing a Master’s of Arts degree in Education Diversity.
Yolanda R. Arrington. Digital Media Producer
Yolanda has 15 years of media experience, having worked in national radio, local TV news, cable and private industry as a writer and segment producer. Her career path includes ABC News, News Channel 8, Retirement Living TV, the federal government, and a slew of freelance opportunities. An award winning television producer and blogger, Yolanda’s experience goes beyond the newsroom and into the expanding digital media space. Yolanda has created social media strategies for nonprofits, high-level government accounts, universities, and entertainment sites. She is a member of several business and service organizations, including Women in Film & Video DC and ColorComm. Her degree in Broadcast Journalism is from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
D’Artagan Winford. Art Director
D’Artagnan is a seasoned Art Director and graphic designer, who joined the Conceptual Geniuses staff in 2015. Creating clear, effective design demands focus. Because He understands that the big picture is always made up of small things, his passion is detail-oriented strategy. Specializing in building brands for educational and non-profits his clients list include Florida State University, Jackson State University, Alabama A&M, Mississippi Valley State University, Neighborhood centers-Houston, The Fannie Lou Hamer cancer Foundation, The foundation for the Mid South and the Mississippi Civil Rights Veterans.
